Savannah Indivisible values individual privacy and we strive to provide you with a safe, secure, and anonymous user experience. This Privacy Policy describes the information we collect and how we use, disclose and protect that information. This Privacy Policy applies to our website, savannahindivisible.org as well as our in-person events. By using our website, you are accepting the terms of this Privacy Policy and you consent to our information collection, use, and disclosure practices.
We collect, process, and retain information from you and any devices you may use when you use or interact with our Websites, and in other ways described below.
Information You Give Us: We receive and store information you enter on savannahindivisible.org or provide us via in-person sign-up forms and third-party websites such as Mobilize. This is usually your name and email address but could also include zip code, phone number, and optional data such as volunteer interests.
Information We Automatically Collect: We collect anonymous information about how users navigate and read our website. This information is collected via Umami, a privacy-first analytics tool that cannot link individuals with their actions on our website. This anonymous information, presented in aggregate, includes page views, referral traffic, geographic identifiers, and device statistics. This information does not include any personally identifying data.
​We use information in two ways.
For personally identifying information such as name and email address, we send regular updates via email to individuals that have opted in to our newsletter. These newsletters are voluntary and recipients can unsubscribe at any time. We may also send mass SMS updates using phone numbers provided. These can also be opted out.
For anonymous web traffic, we use this information to improve the content and user experience of our website. For example, to understand which pages receive the most readers and which mobile devices are used. This information is not linked to individuals.
Simply: we do not. No user information is ever shared or sold to third parties. And only board-level members of Savannah Indivisible can view subscriber information. Please note if you RSVP for events through Mobilize, your data is subject to their privacy policy.
